I've done this a million times before,
this is the place i love.
But for some reason today,
my heart beats faster.
It's something about today.

Expectations gaze at me,
waiting to be blessed.
But alone on the stage,
i feel unseasy this time.
It's something about today.

Magically the music takes me over,
swirling up above.
But something is fighting me,
forgeting how to play.
It's something about today.

A beautiful scene comes crashing to it's knees.
But note after note i struggle on.
Now the music stumbles to a grueling silence.

There was something wrong

with today.
