as i close my eyes to sleep each night
i am thankful for what i achieved this day
so it turned out that everything was alright
going exactly the right way


how blessed i was today
now i say my evening prey for tomorrow come what may
i trust and believe it will turn out as good as today

so i thank the heavens glory for they took good care of me
i am sure they will do the same tomorrow
if i am spared to see the rise of the new day
