Today... 'God Our Saviour' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'God Our Saviour'

The Almighty God dwelt and lived with man
It was part of His great Salvation plan.
He was conceived in a young virgins womb
and entered a world that gave Him no room.

He lived a life of love and servitude
healing the sick and feeding the multitude.
And when the time came to fulfil God's will
He carried the cross and climbed up the hill.

There he bore our sins and He paid the price
and bought our freedom by His sacrifice.
Cried 'Father forgive them' and then He died
For God our Saviour is Christ the Crucified

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'God our Saviour'
