Today... 'God's Dear Son' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'God's Dear Son'

Rating: 5.0

Rescued from the darkness and saved by grace
when God's Dear Son entered the human race.
Bringing me into the Kingdom of Light
no more to be bound by darkness and night.

The Dear Son of God, the Belovèd One
rescued us from Satan's dominion
Setting us free from the shackles of sin
when we opened our heart to let His love in.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Colossians 1: 12-17
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (KJV)

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'God's Dear Son'
