You left years ago  
but today I moved you out 
I'm bustin that ghost 
that you left hanging around 
 
You're kicked out of my dreams  
where you sneak in every night  
You're locked out of my hope  
that makes me think it's right 
 
Yeah today I moved you out  
your invitation withdrawn 
the last of your memories  
are out on the front lawn 
 
I've been thinking you'll come back  
but each day you never do  
For the first time in years  
it's me that don't want you 
 
Today I moved you out 
your privileges revoked 
your membership tore up 
my life to you is cloaked 
 
The end of us you began  
but I'm here to kill it off 
I'm gonna burn it to the ground 
I hope that's what you want 
 
You left years ago 
but today I want you gone  
I am throwing out that bed 
we use to snuggle on 
 
I am sweeping you from the halls  
of my great big broken heart  
Scrubbing you from the walls 
that keep it from falling apart 
 
yeah today I moved you out 
our partnership dissolved 
this agreement repealed  
our problems are now solved 
 
I've been waiting far too long 
for you to come back home 
So today I got a U‐Haul  
this way tomorrow you'll be gone 
 
The end of us you began  
but I'm here to see it through 
I'm gonna light it with a match 
and toast a cold one to being through 
 
You may have left years ago
