Today-Poem Two Poem by Morgan Robinson

Today-Poem Two

Today, I gave it a great day
No more of the dark rain
Only the sun rays
Today', I give you all my heart
Not just a small part
But a whole
And I know that it sounds too lame
And I know that I'm no match for the game
And when everybody has their back the wall
I will stand tall
Because today, I ran to the end of the rainbow
Where a pile of leprechaun gold is waiting for me
Today, I won't crawl but I'll fly
I won't dance well, but I'll try
Not just now but for always
And I know that it might sound impossible
But everything was once impossible- until one believed they could
And tomorrow, we'll do all again
Just you, me, and a few friends
Flying free in the breeze-
Just you and me- with them
And today, I'll finally say 'I love you'
And look in to you eyes of blue
and possibly, find a reason to believe
in tomorrow too.
