Together But Apart Poem by Faith Wood

Together But Apart

We will make our journeys together, but apart
This is not where we end
We’ll turn around and wave, but head on our own tracks,
Knowing our limits are endless
And our hearts will never cease.
We will never feel closer,
Even at a distance of a thousand miles
And we will never stop calling for comfort
Because it is what keeps us sane.
No matter what the future holds,
Our lives will join together, even when apart.
