Togetherness Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Togetherness

Will romance ever blossom again
after days of pain and heartache?
Already he's told her
He cannot enfold her.

His poor heart will never awake.
They must forget the day they met
on the seat by the rivulet as
passion can never blossom again.

But long-lasting friendship
is waiting down the line;
platonic togetherness could help as
they leave pain and sorrow behind.
