Tomorrow Poem by Christina Simmons

Tomorrow

Lay the past to rest...for once and always
Lay it far behind...forever not allowing into
present - put it At the back at a distance....

Out of sight out of mind...not to cause affliction
Past control mind...NO longer girl
Indebted to past...not anymore - choice to make up
My mind of which direction to take!
Past holds to ransom...no longer

Prisoner of past...no longer...
Free from terror...freedom from horror
Peace...peace in mind...peace with spirit
Spirituality is my game - Thoughts of praise...
Honouring the self with kindness and gentleness

Live in here...NOW...today...
Looking forward to tomorrow

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wrote this poem before I understood what life was all about. And that my destiny was in my own hands. Not to rely on others for guidance. I do have choices to choose what is right for me. It is something I alone know as I'm the only person who truly knows ME.
