Tomorrow Poem by Mokganedi Tatlhego

Tomorrow

Well, winter does turn into summer,
Grey twigs do get the seasonal green
The past does evolve into present
And vocabulary gave birth to the word repetition

Tears follow gravity and flow
smiles possess clout to follow
amid many years that past
there’s still one tomorrow

as a child with a heart set to find
all that shines with no taint of lies
like the sun shines behind clouds and times
in my mind I will not get tired
to find tomorrow and clearly define

In the hope that moles find sight and finally see
Alike songbirds, find chimes and finally sing
My dream was always to find life and finally live
In retrospect to find air and finally breathe

Now one of these days the wind will blow
With a sound much like our names in tow
This is a love to bend nature laws
To block the scorch of the sun and make rains fall
