Tomorrow Taken Poem by Travis Ciempa

Tomorrow Taken

Rating: 5.0

I awaited prison within myself, soft slow breaths of defeat
There is no way I am alone in this hour
But I am
The reflection of my wandering eyes
Pierced into my crooked smile
I'm alone
There was no arrangement of life around me
Everything was unplanned and unpredicted
Life was simple
It continues to tear me apart
Mirrored by madness leaving only insanity
It's quiet
The noise impaling my ears is inaudible
I've entered a reality not of my own
Subtle changes
The light is dim and I am lost in animated darkness
I felt the future dive into my whole being
Tomorrow is taken

Future is mystery. One has to dive in it with full preparedness, hoping for the best and at the same time being prepared to face the worst. Thanks for sharing the thought provoking poem.10 points.
