In ones search for their place in life we find
its not always what we had in mind.

One places their dreams with candy coating
overlooking the emotional bag their toting.

We must stop and take a look.

Take a look at ourselves inside.
Put away all the foolish pride.

Truly notice the paths you've taken.

The paths and the places
all the false faces
Amazing we've made it this far.

I've seen one get lost
overlooking the cost
Make sure you know where you are.

We fall for false love and possessions
making concessions
overlooking the soul and its needs.

Be patient. Take time.
Listen, you'll find
the right places to plant the seeds.

Hold tight to the smile, not the tear.
Seize the moment, overcome the fear!

To sum up what I'm trying to say.
Plan for tomorrow,
but live for today!
