Too Beautiful Poem by Clay Dubberly

Too Beautiful

Rating: 5.0

She played the violin like it was a
Harp with a bow you struck the strings with I couldn't help
But cry that g******n beautiful sound that pierced the air so mercilessly like an
Unforgiving god looking down on his creation punishing them with
More love than they can bear the rhythm and melody still to this day seem to have
Burned a hole deep into my soul and buried themselves there because each
Time I need to hear that painfully beautiful music I just stick my hand into my soul
Pull it out listen to it hold it against my chest love it like my own child.

Far too beautiful to be made from this earth so I asked God why He Would dare give someone so undeserving something so beautiful I heard Him whisper in reply that
It was just a taste like the appetizer before the entree of the meal I Asked if I could
Linger there for a little longer listen to the insane beauty of it all that screamed
FOUL! in my ears
He obliged so I stood there struck back by plain
Audacity of song and even offended by something unfair
Something beautiful existing in an ugly world but I
Welcomed it like I would my own mother let it
Love me comfort me give me hope that
True beauty may exist.
