Too Close Poem by Lauren Secret

Too Close

I thought you would be my first love,
Thats what i thought end of,
You held my hands in front of your mates,
I thought everything was going to be great,
You would meet me in the pouring rain,
Even to just have to return home again.
But you began to change,
You started to act slightly strange,
My friends made you jealous,
especially all of the fellas,
They gave me hugs to say hi,
You pushed them around told them to say bye.

But the worst was still to come,
You acted like complete scum,
I felt the softness of the seat,
You weight upon me, concrete,
You held me down.

But you heard someone near,
You stopped and cocked an ear,
In this chance i pushed you away,
I was no longer going to be your prey,
I managed to escape,
Without even a scrape.

You did nothing to me,
But it was too close,
I pulled upon my coat.
I walked outside,
I held my tears inside.

I told him that today was our end,
You gaxed into my eyes trying to comprhend,
'I Love you' he claimed,
I turned and walked away.
I will never cry from that day,
He gets nothing not even a tear,
But being held down is something i fear.
