He came into my life quite effortlessly...
Though t'was predicted ahead of time-
Arriving in a gilded horse drawn carriage...
A handsome devil gifted with words of rhyme;

He used his romantic sonnets to mesmerize...
I tell you he used every trick in the book...
A razzle-dazzle courtship soon followed...
Along with his most beguiling looks;

He trifled aimlessly with my heart...
And took me in by subtle degrees...
Wooing me with tantalizing heated lines...
That melted my hearts self-imposed freeze;

Oh child-I'll just tell you this-
The relationship couldn't have been more perfect-if planned...
He captured my brain and soul as well-
And then boldly asked me for my hand;

Now then i might have accepted his invite...
But a light bulb went off inside of my head...
The information came as a protective warning...
Remembering all that he had done and said;

And as soon as i sorted through it all...
All the woo-the caress-the bubble-the fizz...
A quote-it truly came into my minds eye...
'If it seems too good to be true it probably is! ;
