Too Late Poem by Michelle Dickson

Too Late

No matter how much you breathe,
No matter how much you believe,
Things will never be the same.

Too late to change your mind,
Too late to change time.

I slowly go where only few have gone before
I slowly go where you can no longer hurt me anymore.

If you change your mind
Don’t waste my time
And come and find me
For I will be waiting
Slowly waiting
For all time
At heaven’s gate
For a hurting embrace.
