Too Much Oil, Too Many Weapons Poem by Hebert Logerie

Too little airspace, too much oil
Too many heavy weapons on the soil
Too many ready warring factions
In position to take actions
A stupid or inadvertent accident
Is bound to happen. Insufficient
Space to vent, not enough chairs to sit on
The table is too small and the fights will go on
Too many sins
Too many kingpins
Too many criminals
Too many generals
Too much ego
Too much dough
Too many heroes
Too many zeroes
Too much, too much at stake
Too many pirates; that tiny steak
Will not suffice. Too many are hungry
Too many are crazy, too many are angry
Something crazy or stupid is bound to happen
One eye for an eye, everybody wants the kitchen
There is not enough space, water or food
To cause some people to change their mood
Too many cries
Too many lies
Too many missiles
Too many imbeciles
Fighting for the wrong reasons
And ignoring the meaning of the four seasons
They’re not fighting for peace
In the oil rich regions of the Middle East
Too many uniforms, too many greedy countries
Everybody is fighting for their own shares of the peas
For their own interests, and securities
Nobody wants to be called dummies
Too much at stake, too much arrogance
Too little common sense
Too little transparency
Too little decency
Too much violence
Too much pride
Too much too hide
Too many will die
Too many will cry
Too little, too much
Too many will rush
To the wrong conclusion
Too little reconciliation
Too much suffering
Too much backstabbing
Some people were born deranged
And we all know that’s not strange
At the end, we all want peace
In the hot and bloody airspace
Of the Middle East
As we save face
Too much oil, too much money
Some people are very greedy
Too many generals, too many weapons
We must stop warring for the wrong reasons.
