I thought that time had healed all the pain
And I was surely free to love again
But now I find old memories remain
And I guess it's just too soon too soon to love again.

I know now that an old love takes it's toll
And I'm not free to love you heart and soul
I want to love you, but I don't know when
I guess it's just too soon, too soon to love again

I'm sorry for the promises I made you
And now I know they can't come true
I must find a way that I can forget her
But it's too soon now for me to fall for you
