Torment Poem by Jolanta Gradowicz

Torment

I feel the burden of my silent dreams,
I’m overwhelmed by their intensity,
I can’t endure the might of the feelings.
O, God! Look at me at last and take pity.

Help me - I can’t find myself in the world.
You mustn’t be lost in thought in the blue,
While I’m asking You for a little word
To comfort me and make my dreams come true.

I still can’t cope with my life on my own,
I beg You to help me to find a solace,
Ease my suffering. Please leave Your throne
And don’t delay sending me a sweet bliss.

It will silence my sorrows and fears.
Don’t let me down, and make a miracle
To take off the burden of my dreams...
I count on You - my only oracle...
