Torn Poem by Bri Lynne

Torn

I'm torn painfully in half
Between here and way over there
Between two opposing loves
Barely able to balance on these bloody feet
On this stretching precipice as the wind beats at me
Barely able to breathe words to either of thee

Torn between concrete and impossibly viscous
Between infinity and momentary hopeful fate
Fallen into a game against all odds
With the first pull of his dark eyes
Torn between emptiness and pretty innuendos
Between right and devilishly evil
Though fear is lost somewhere under my racing chest
Torn like loose flesh in the spring fresh
Between love and dreams

I'm doubting my strength to choose
Between two unbearable ends
Awaiting the merciless hands of fate
To show me where home really is
