Torn (Humor) Poem by Jean Dament

I wonder if I should stay at home with this flu now,
I'm feeling kinda guilty; as I know I should go to work though,
Then again... I really wonder how?
But if I get fired... it would be quite a blow,
I'm so tempted to go back to bed;
As it looks so inviting somehow,
I truly must be out of my head,
As I'm all dressed & ready to go to work now,

Oh! what the heck, I'm feeling just too ill,
I'm going to put my pj's on instead;
And take my pill;
White I lie down in bed,
I really must get some rest under these warm covers;
While I wait for the medicine to click in for the pain,
With hopes soon to fully recover;
After some much needed sleep...knowing tomorrow, I'll have lots to explain.
