Touché; The Current Rate Of Exchange For A Pound Of Flesh Poem by Ted Sheridan

Touché; The Current Rate Of Exchange For A Pound Of Flesh

Rating: 3.9

I am at a lost as to why that little sh*t head
whose life is worth less than the current exchange rate
for a weakened English Pound, would refer to me,
a very sober and conservative man, as a drug addict and a drunk;
implying that I have nothing else to do with my time.
Albeit I have always had a soft spot in my heart
for the down trodden who have obtained what I see
as such a highly desirable status.

...yet better, I think, it were to have money abolished altogether. why not push the carriage a little bit further along the trail of becoming human and civilized perfectly?
