Touched By An Angel Poem by Christina Simmons

Touched By An Angel

Today I was touched by an angel
Got closer I saw that it was me all along!
Left for dead, gently soothe, been reawaken
Experienced humiliation and controlled
Battered, beaten and scored feeling worn-out
Not wanting to be hurt any more hid away
Been healed! Feel new again; miracle has continued

Bruises going away! Scars washed out of sight
Not falling down! Never stumbling, standing up
Stopping to put together; right once again
Seeing the light no more darkness
Inspired to be aware and to do great stuff
Understands my pain and anguish never leaving

Though wings are now broken, fighting on
Taught to make the right decision not wrong one
Guided in the appropriate direction
Ensured to take the straight and narrow road
The time has come, it's here putting one foot forward
Walk the path and achieve true ambition

It's never a dull moment the universe is providing
for my every need the world's truly great.
