Touched By An Angel Poem by Sandra Feldman

Touched By An Angel

Rating: 4.6

Certain Souls are touched by an Angel,
Composers, Artists, Writers, Actors,
That make you vibrate,
And put you in a state,
That makes your heart and soul palpitate,
So intensely, you think,
They will emotionally, break.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired by and dedicated to Max Steiner, father of motion picture sound track music who wrote the music for Gone with the Wind, for many Bette Davis films and other grandiose productions. Giving films much more magical power.

So true it is, yes some times they act on the mind so intensely both by composing, performing or viewing that they create a permanent emotion and impression.... thanks for sharing

One more because it is so universal. Samuel Barber took the slow movement from his only moderately successful string quartet and scored it for string orchestra. Here's what's amazing - It was used in the soundtrack of PLATOON, a violent Vietnam War film, but earlier David Lynch used it as background for one of the most blessed films ever made - ELEPHANT MAN with John Hurt's luminous performance. And for both films, however different in tone, it was the absolute best possible music, So sweet and empathetic, redemptive really.
