Toward Heavenly Abode Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Toward Heavenly Abode

C-heerful song is playing,
H-appy birthday to you;
A-nother moment of joy
R-eplaces the time of blue.
L-et this day be sunny,
E-veryone is hopefully praying;
N-ight chill due to cold wind
E-lapses early in the morning.

M-erry month of January
A-s twenty-fifth dawn does break;
E-vening comes to an end, leaving the shadows no chance to take.

G-loam gives up its dusk,
A-s it yields to the gleam of sunrise;
R-elinquishing its grip on twilight
F-or the glint shining in your eyes.
I-n your heart, gratitude dwells, for the Lord lights up the road;
N-either He denies nor deserts you, guiding you toward heavenly abode.
