It was a trade they knew to well,
Another place of endless hell,
Walked the streets since they were nine,
Couldn't see a world benign,
Most people passed them walking by,
Did not care if they lived or died.
It wasn't society's problem anymore,
Youth was not like that before,
It was a case of strip or flip,
and yet you thought they had some lip,
Perhaps a reality check is needed for you,
Too much or yet too few.
You may see their act as sin,
Never prayed, never virgin.
Too clean are you to judge on filth,
To see the world that we have built.
I guess you know the answer now,
What hope would not allow,
A body they did not own,
As they lived in their terror zone.
They had no hope,
They have no home,
They have nowhere else to go,
The vicious cycle will continue to grow,
And yet we find it easier to ignore.
You may see their act as sin, Never prayed, never virgin. Too clean are you to judge on filth, To see the world that we have built. These are my fav lines in the poem lovely write indeed......... God bless You
