Tranquillity Poem by Micron

Tranquillity

Rating: 5.0

Upon a fresh green carpet of grass I did lay
With bright blue skies showing no signs of grey.
Butterflies randomly flitting everywhere
Land on leaves flowers then fly back in the air
Cheerful flowers in the warmth open wide
Allowing buzzing bumblebees to go inside
As the sun shone down and did smile
The wind whispered gently for a while
Sending forth a warm caressing breeze
Rustling through the old oak tree’s leaves
The weathered old oak stood mighty and tall
Nature’s natural column of strength to us all
Blackbirds sing, shelter there and nest
As I lie underneath the tree relaxed did rest
Surrounded by nature beauty and calm
A moment of escape away from world’s harm
Enveloped with natures warmth and tranquillity
A moment calm and peace given to me

A moment calm - not much of that around today.
