Trapped Poem by Courtney Beaudry

Trapped

If I block it out
I can just love you
Why are emotions tainted anyway?
The birds and the mammals
feel things we can't handle
Pure feelings without
background
I wish to unravel this mound
That I've trapped myself under

If I can forget for a moment
What I'm dealing with
Just live in the moment
Repel what I wish was myth
Then the voice could be settled
And I'd always let
you in
