Trapped Poem by Sarrah Ibrahim

Trapped

Rating: 4.5

Snap a moment
Tag 'Lazy Sundays'
But why lie?
Why substitute?
To avoid awkwardness?
Spare guilt?
Hide under a quilt?
Mask away the sad head-tilt?

Lonely Sunday
Lonely Sundays
Lonely every-days

Why fake a smile?
Run all but a mile,
Shove secrets within a dusty file,
Don't you ever tire?
A dream can be more than a desire,
Be all you can be, fire

A trap, Rapunzel's tower
No matter.
Just tap on thee power,
Don't stand on the way of the blossoming flower
