Trapped Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Trapped

Trapped

On her way to U.S. she drives
I am trapped by my heart

She goes there to have fun with her mum
Her father, old and sick and in need left behind

I am trapped by my heart

At table, a counter I stand with dagger
In my hand, beats live heart in front

I am trapped by my heart

Loneliness in the world has fruit; Depression
Even for Robin Williams; Suicide is the end

I am trapped by my heart

Raising knife I try to shatter
"Damn you both, " loudly shout

I am trapped by my heart

Mind, logic, complain of the heart
"You are you, they are they."

I am trapped by my heart

"Held her hand when a child..."
Father says; "She'd hold mine."

I am trapped by my heart

Dagger works, it's a bomb
Destroys mind and heart, I cry

I am trapped by my heart
