Trapped Poem by Nichole Herrin

Trapped

Trapped.
Trapped in the monstrous body
limiting me from doing what
I feel is right.
It bends in bizarre ways
it has strange limbs.
These peculiar fingers,
there's another set on these unfamiliar long feet. There's
five. I feel trapped in this body.
My mind cannot be set free
from this gruesome prison.
All I want is to be
free.
