Trapped Poem by Ajpw Wiggan

Trapped

Rating: 5.0

I'm scared of the world that surrounds me,
But most importantly of the people that enclose me.
Trapped and yet lost,
My hunger fills my pit of dark shame
For the life I have lived and the life I have yet to face.

Blood alone thicker than water,
love shared thinner than pride.
My soul empty like the ghost of a memory -
Forgotten.
And the air I breathe once inhaled,
Exhaled with her,
Never to exchange again.

Yours Aj

What we don't understand we fear and then we wonder about the things we are afraid of. Without fear, there can be no self discovery. Thanks for sharing this wonderful, thought provoking poem.
