Treason... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Treason...

How do I forget you

Return you to the blue

The thinnest of air,

Before I rip out all my hair,

There is my cue

So little tears left; just a few,

I'm all out of red eye

Can't anymore lie,

The truth is

I wished I could have had a kiss

To have all the more reason

To justify your treason,

Arrow in the quiver

It's not cold but I shiver,

Angst in my sorrow

My brows do furrow,

I can't flip the page

Let myself out this cage,

Music to my ears

Just stirs all my fears,

Alone in the world

It will end, herald

The darkness

That lies in what I confess,

I miss you

But I wish I could forget you...
