Treasonous Words
Treasonous words
and deeds of treason
all the suffering and all the joy
signed in the blood of our children
forgive us father for we know not
how not to do what we are doing
incapable of staying true
treasonous reasons
and reasoning traitors
tracking down all enemies
in a world where friendship is all
that remains of what we once were
and how we were taught to be broken
