Trees Aren'T Silent Poem by Saiom Shriver

Trees Aren'T Silent

We think that trees
are silent
but when they're on fire
they roar.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
As of Aug 27,2012, forest fires are burning in Oklahoma, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota. They have burned as well this year in Virginia, Colorado, Utah and have taken out untold millions of acres full of animals, birds and trees.

Trees are an essential part of the rain cycle as they evaporate an average 42 gallons of moisture daily which becomes mist, then clouds, then rain. We need zillions of trees planted and irrigated.
