Tremble Poem by Christopher Teale

Tremble

Trembling like a leaf upon the tree
When struck by the sudden breeze
I trembled as I looked on thee
As your hair danced with the breeze

I trembled like the blade of grass
That upon the wind, shivers with cold
When I stared into your eyes of glass
Ice blue, beautiful yet cold

Trembled my lips as I tried to speak
Trembled my heart as the words came out
They came gentle, they came weak
As I kept silent a mighty shout

Trembled the ground beneath my feet
Trembled the skies above my head
For they knew that, which now I keep
The words of love that I never said.
