Triumph Of Laughter Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Triumph Of Laughter

Come bring us all a clown or two
A joker or a jester
Too many faces looking blue
Allowing gloom to fester

A city full of silent mimes
Monkey business for monkeys
Toss your pennies, quarters..dimes
Everyone is a flunkey

Punchinello's buffoonery
Release some stooges to wit
Nose thumb gruffish fools like me
Inside your harlequin skit

Lose control of your funny bone
Merriment tickles your ears
Enter into the happy zone
This is the end of tears!
