True Apology Poem by Agnes Abraham

True Apology

This is a true apology,
And it may be the first for one to see.
Saying sorry is so hard for me,
But its my last resort for us to be.

The pain that I have put you through,
May seem to you, was purposeful.
Yet my soul would never wish wrong upon you,
Even though my actions were awful.

I don’t expect much from you,
But to go on and think this through.
My weakness may be undesirable,
But my heart is pure and cries for you.

The love we had may be gone for you
But my apology will be haunting you.
