True Blue

A poet that wants
to be true
to Olde England
says 'a be-at-in he-orte'
for 'a beatin heart'.

For 'herb' he says 'wyrt'.

'Short' is 'scyrte'.

Though an Australian,
he doesn't say 'girt'
as it's said Downunder:
without fear,
its 'ir' he says like 'ear'.

Further,
'all-good' is 'sheer'.
