True Love Exists Poem by Elena Sandu

True Love Exists

Rating: 4.8

A heart that skrinks
itself into a tiny cave
Covered in tears, fears
And regrets?

Such heart one day
May ring a bell
to open doors
of fullest place
which may exist
inside of self?

Might Loneliness
gift us a chance
offering time
to find plenty of ways
guiding the path
towards true freedom
and true love?

A soul is meant to break all ties?
Is the true freedom's food
plain loneliness and pain?

The badly broken heart
could it be no more stuck on one
in a tightly defined
space or time,
Doesn't heart need
to love everything
and everybody near and far?

Love needs to crawl
into a house between the walls
Or does it need to fly,
expand afar from earth,
to and between the stars?

Past present future then
could be nothing but lines
to be stepped over with heart
fully in charge?

The always busy brains
may have no idea how much
all of us are loved, my friends.
But our hearts already knows it.

One day we will all learn
that true love is not something
to be given, thrown away
or taken back
it just exists,
isn't it?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Only offering a humble opinion I think that many of us are suffering for not being loved, not knowing or forgetting that the love is already given to all of us at birth, some spend whole life searching for it. We may only need to deepen into self and we can find the treasure of true love, which might be all living's ultimate happiness.

I truly agree with your note/comment about true love. Through pain and suffering I finally discovered that and to love and accept myself unconditionally. Always heard love is withing, I'm finally at the stage where I feel/live it. " The always busy brains may have no idea how much all of us are loved, my friends. But our hearts already knows it." Very enlightening and inspiring write, much enjoyed. 🌞 Big 10+++

soul is meant to break all ties? Is the true freedom's food plain loneliness and pain? Interesting ideas, as human beings we greatly desire the need to be with others, or at least to band together through biological necessity, and yet we are always in a place where loneliness leads us to be separated. Love is many things, it is the experience to be blessed with someone we care for and who cares for us, and it is the pain we learn when those two people no longer have any connection that divides them. Love can heal, and it can pain, and it is our ability to accept what happens to us from Love that either allows us to grow and find knew relations or inhibits us into a path of loneliness and despair. We can only embrace it with confidence and what happens happens, but never turn away from Love.

In this beautiful poem you have presented a nice idea. I agree with you. Love is not a matter of give and take. If anything plays any role in love, it's our own ego, otherwise love is the reaction of emotions and sentiments which are beyond our control and often we don't know why we love someone.
