True Monarch Poem by Jim O'Donnell

True Monarch

Rating: 4.5

Standing proud as he can be
The true monarch of the glen is he
Silhouetted against the sun
Antlers pointed every one

Calling out so all can hear
He is not just one ordinary deer
This stag is standing tall and tough
Showing all he’s made of proper stuff

Monarch of the glen is he
To wonder the mountains and being free
