‘trust Me, I’m Lying’ Poem by Yasmin Khan

‘trust Me, I’m Lying’

Rating: 5.0

Slideshows run, dazzled by gold-plated lies
False inspirations, men with purblind visions
Blogs, online rumours, manipulations, misquotations
Zooming from obscurity to viral sensations
Some rising to hero(wor) ship like particles of dust
Others who suffered too pearls roll in the mud
Subtleties, intricate weave of black and white
Guile, craftiness of media put the the mare on go
Creating myths, deities eluding, defying
Confessions like ‘Trust Me, I’m lying’

You can never trust the media - too much spin on all their stories.
