Trusting The Eyes Poem by Haider Ali Buluk

Trusting The Eyes

Rating: 5.0

The titanic could drown and be never found
in dephts of that hazel green sea of your eyes.

My eyes have never been able to scale the length of that sea because of that man-blinding glow which forces to look away.

And yet i'm just one of the countless little boats
who admire the beauty of this ocean.

But iam not alike the others
iam not afraid of drowning and dying in the holiest waters.

I have the torch of hope to illuminate my path
what i just need is the power of trust.

So please don't let my only hopes fall
so please oh! Divine god of the divine sea the boat of trust which would take me to you.

I crave for experience of that moment i have dreamed of
the saying goodbye before jumping into the sea when actually i'm never going anywhere.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have always loved the eyes of the beloved, those eyes which look divine due to their unearthly beauty. I wrote this just after she for the first time said goodbye to me! Those are the only words i remember she has said. We know each other but only through gazes, stares and look aways.
