Truth Poem by Dale Totten

The truth shines like the brightest star,
not always what you want to hear.
It can be hidden for a little while,
but always seems to reappear.
You can paint it to the color you like best,
but then it becomes just a lie.
The paint will eventually fade away,
the truth is something you can't deny.
The truth is the truth, and nothing more,
accept it, and let it be.
If we could all just live this way,
what a wonderful world this would be.
