Truth Over Fiction Poem by Tushar Ray

Truth Over Fiction

Rating: 5.0

Let me begin this poem with a quote from Physicist
Richard Feynman, the 1965 Nobel Laureate, who said:

“God was invented to explain mystery
God is always invented to explain
Those things that you do not understand
Now when you finally discover how something works
You get some laws which you are taking away from God;
You don’t need him anymore. But need him for other secrets
So therefore you leave him to create the universe
Because we have not figured that out yet,
You need him for understanding those things
Which you don’t believe the laws will explain
Such as Consciousness or why you live to a certain
Length of time – life and death – stuff like that.
God is always associated with
Those things that you do not understand”

A case in point is the theory of life’s origin
Where based on certain facts and mostly fiction
A detailed scenario on accidental genesis of life was given
Though still unproven, modern science has messianic hope
Someday, somewhere, by someone it will be proven
While neglecting the logical accord of ancient Vedanta
That explains the phenomenon of human evolution
Remaining to be tested by scientific documentation
Being studied now in holistic brain and mind-body field

Basic problem with modern intellectualism is this
Glamor of success has blinded the modern scientists
Making scientists egocentric and out and out materialistic
So such sentiment is overly exaggerated to the masses
Making them rely on myth that science can only find Truth
While the self-knowledge on spiritual wisdom is superstition
Thus creating a dogma that is far-far away from the Truth

Since scientist have created such myth over centuries of biases
They are obligated today in removing the ignorance of masses

Tushar, I do agree with Richard Feynman in his assessment of needing God to explain those things that we do not understand or cannot explain. On the other hand I have long been in disagreement with the theory of accidental genesis. Theories abound and still remain unproven, why? In science you can only find objective truths, we have not studied the connection between mind-body-brain in any depth. Self-knowledge of spirituality actually contains facts derived from a person's own experiences with it. This is where the problem lies, in how to study these facts. Possibly if enough people's experiences are similar we will have something to build on. Scientists have been given this burden of proof, now we have to wait for their conclusions. Inner spirituality is all-pervasive, filling us with a state of bliss and happiness not able to be obtained outside of our beings. Research to remove these biases of objective truths are needed, then we can overcome the myths surrounding accidental genesis, I believe. What an intense and thought-provoking poem this one is, my friend! Thank you so much for sharing it. RoseAnn
