Trying To Be A Rockstar Poem by Ramona Thompson

Trying To Be A Rockstar

Say a lot of things that maybe I should't say
Do a lot of things that maybe I should't do
Not perfect
Not by far
No excuses
No phony lies or explantions am I gonna am I gonna be giving
When all I'm doing is just one thing
Just trying to be me
Rather it's right or it's wrong
I'm not even gonna try to say
All I know is
I'm trying to be a rockstar
So just mind your own damm biz and stay the hell out of mine
If you know what I mean

Bored and gorgeous
I smoke, I drink, I curse, and oh yes, I make love
To as many groupies as I can
It's all part of the dream come true
The bad boy lifestyle that I've choosen to lead
So if you know what's good for 'em
Then you'll lock up all your daughters and throw away the keys
Cos in my tour bus
I'm coming
Ready, willing and able to lead those sweet, sweet angels of yours
Down a devil's dirty, dirty road
Trying to be a rockstar

Not a bad guy
I'm got my good days
I can be sweet and I can be generous as well
It's just that I gotta a rep and a image to maintain
Gotta make my fellow rockers proud
Strut around in tight black leather
Maybe get another tattoo
Drink beer after beer till I puke my guts out
Ain't that's what it about anyway?
Ain't that how you want me to be?
No better and no different then the rest
I'm just another guy making rock and roll music
Eager to see some major DD's and get laid
