Tsunami Poem by Anders Lim

Tsunami

The ground has slid and the earth had cracked
Destroying all beings under water for resistance was lacked
After all creatures underwater were washed away
Strong and fast waves had swam astray
Initially they burst out of the virtual core
Destroying everything in its way, ghastly and gore

Harmlessness filled its outer coat although very malignant inside
As speed was gaining from each ripple and tide
Altitude increasing as heading towards solid land
Arms spread out engulfing each grain of sand
Impact hit in an instant by surprise
A city was gone as waters still continued to rise

Waters have calmed and sunk into the soil
Nothing much more was damaged from its recoil
Barren and damp land left alone
A mark of terror, marked on each stone
One great wave has took a city apart
A million scars left is many other hearts
