Turn Around Bright Eyes Poem by Asma Khan

Turn Around Bright Eyes

Come to me with a new moon in the silver spoon of tomorrow
dust the remains of life in the dawn of yesterday's sun

Close your crystal eyes to imagine me seeing you from afar
and wish to touch the sunny skies in a single breathe

Mend the broken wings of hopes with your colours
paint all mirrors of defiance and discreet with your desires

Sit beside me on an evening of a dying sun
stir the helplessness into the air to see your fears sinking

Call the maker of serenity to sooth your burning soul
pat the back of loneliness to accompany joys

Tease the pains to bring joys upon ashes of eternity
calm the roaring oceans of cries on the funeral of regrets

Invite new galaxies of wonders to surround your auras
promise yourself to forget the path to loneliness

Wrap yourself in warm words of togetherness and tranquillity
sign not before anyone for your Creator is always hearing you!
