Turning Of The Tide Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Turning Of The Tide

Rating: 2.5

Forty words:

One sunny May day
spirits rose high.
Bombs said goodbye
and hushed was
the battle cry...
men said a prayer
thanking our Lord
for peace in the air.
A new world order
came alive on
May the eighth 'forty-five.
