Turtle Poem by Anna Turtle

Turtle

Rating: 5.0

Slowly, slowly, slowly,
The heavy shell makes me slow,
And keeps my body lowly,
But it can take the worst blow.

Fighting, fighting, fighting,
An armour is my shell,
Not an easy-breaking thing,
It keeps me safe pretty well.

Prime, prime, prime,
A warrior for life,
And at any time,
Searching for a wife.

Lover, lover, lover,
A turtle isn’t hard as steal,
My shell is what cover,
My heart, can you break the seal?
